For many years people have asked me, “What’s your ‘why’?” and for years I struggled to find the answer. I wanted to give all sorts of heart-warming replies like “my family” or “XYZ charity,” but those answers weren’t authentic. My real “why” is empowerment. That’s why I work as hard as I do and that’s what gets me up in the morning.
What's Your WHY
Where are you going?
How will you get there?
You are in control.
Why I Coach
Over 40 and desperate to change the narrative of my life, I decided to alter my course and finally begin a career that I had been too afraid to pursue when I was younger. Filled with self-doubt but exhilarated, I forged ahead despite the negative thoughts and feedback.
With grit and a growth mindset, I made it and along the way found tremendous financial success, my voice, and my “why”: to empower other women to do the same.
Through coaching, I work with women to help them answer two main questions and gain perspective: Where are you going? How will you get there? You are in control.
I especially like to coach women who, too, are in Chapter 3. What is Chapter 3? It’s the 40 to 50-something years where women sometimes find themselves a bit lost and useless. These years can lead to an identity crisis, where women wonder what their place in the world is. Some have been out of the workforce raising kids, some have been working in jobs they don’t love, some feel unfulfilled in their lives or in their relationships.
The great thing is that because I’m in Chapter 3 and have “been there, done that,” I work with women of every age to help them embrace fear and failure, welcome change, and find their new paths so they can feel empowered and write the beginning of what will be a remarkable chapter in their lives.
